109 Degrees & 110 Cinder Blocks
On the hottest day of this year thus far, we tackled a junk hauling job that involved many, many cement cinder blocks, too high of a temperature and not enough hands. Our team was booked and busy with other house cleaning and organizing jobs so this junk haul was left up to lil’ ol’ me! It felt like a combination of hot yoga and CrossFit but hey, I did it! The heat index was at 109 so my water bottle was heavily used; thankfully we were prepared and used to working physically taxing jobs. Our trusty TipTop truck and trailer carried this haul no problem and honestly could have handled more. On top of the cinder blocks we also took bricks, four doors, counter tops, shelving, garden lattice, wooden pallets, lumber and contractor bags to the dump. It somehow only took an hour to clear out this Midtown Harrisburg garage and both our truck bed and trailer were completely filled and ready to be dumped at the end of our job! I might have been covered in dust but it was a job well done and our customer was happy to see their freshly cleared out space. Thankfully our automatic trailer can handle any and all types of junk so we’re already for the next job - whatever that may be!
